John Gruber rightly asks people to out the idiot who asked Steve Jobs why they don’t put Intel Inside stickers on their machines:
Jobs offers a rare chance for a public Q&A and someone asks why they don’t booger up their computers with horrid stickers? Will someone please tell me who asked this question so I can name him jackass of the week?
A week would not be nearly long enough.
Are there stupider questions that could have been asked?
“Is it true you hate buttons?”
“Why doesn’t the iPhone have some sort of a blinky light for when I’m in a coverage area?”
“What’s with the black turtleneck and jeans? What is this, casual Tuesday?”
I do know what I would have asked, if given the chance:
“Why have many of the recent updates to Apple applications had little or no documentation as to what they actually fix?”
Or maybe:
“How much do you wish that the iPhone wasn’t tied to AT&T’s horrible service for the next 5 years?”
Nah, I’d ask the first one… he might actually answer that one.
After the event I would have added:
“What on earth took so long to get the Apple Store back online?!”
