Daredevil

Scale: 7 out of a possible 10
Should you see it? YES
How's the writing? Fair
Any gaping holes in the plot? NO
What stands out? Plenty of action, if a little light on plot and writing

Daredevil was one of my favorite comics growing up, so I was really looking forward to this movie.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner ("Alias") were very well cast, as was Michael Clarke Duncan (who played John Coffey in The Green Mile).

The writing was not great. There were a few lines that we really lame. The plot was just barely present. But the action was clear and present. Personally, I would have liked to have seen more extended action/fight scenes.

Still, it was a good night out at the movies.

Personally I would have liked the fight seens slowed down to be able to see the action. It went sooooo fassst...My son thinks the girl comes back to life...that she dropped off the braile necklace after the battle...could this be their next move...then again DD heard her heart stop...He is a romantic.

so dumb, think its just for kids, seemed like a very LONG episode of a pseudo-action TV show

I really liked the movie, I thought that an actionhero played bij ben affleck would s*ck but he does it pretty good I must say... I also think that elektra is still alive and btw there's already a sequel planned so ENJOY!

I thought this movie rocked!!! I loved it!!! The action was awesome. Jennifer Garner is my favorite actress. She was so beautiful and a very good figher in this movie. I just wished she didn't die. Colin Farrel is a great actor too. But I hated that he killed Elektra. Well, I like Daredevil but I don't really like Ben Affleck. They could have picked somebody better.

I still can't get over that Elektra died. When was the last time that happened in a superhero movie? DD should've died instead, someone shoot Ben Affleck for acting so bad... please! The only redeeming factor was Bullsye. Really gave off the "insane and angry" factor. All the messages in this movie are heavyhanded. No subtlety whatsoever.

Hm... This was one of those excuisitely crappy movies, where the plot is basically a line of kerosene thats slowly burning toward a bucket of bad movie brand gun powder as the movie slowly degrades itself in a downward spiral of bad acting, bad writing, action scenes where you can tell that these people have absolutely no martial-arts or fencing whatsoever. Computer graphics used to be used to better the movie by removing the limits of good martial artists, now theyre used to make Austin Kutcher seem like a god. Ben Affleck is not worthy of the possibilities of this movie. The way they treated death in this movie was sickening. I rate this a -5083902697236 out of 10.

This movie was bad and I think doubly so, when you see the talent and money that were hired to make it. I dont know how they went so wrong. As a fan of the comic, I didnt know how they were going to make the costume seem real, but they actually did a great job with it. Sadly, Affleck did a boring and inept job with the character. The story was about as jacked-up as Bullseye's mind is supposed to be: if Matt is a defense attorney, why is he PROSECUTING the man who attacked his client?? He has this super incredible hearing, yet when he's getting dressed for work he TURNS UP his stereo to the MAX! As a blind man, he meets Elektra (Jennifer Garner, who I think is an incredible actress on her show Alias) and gets into a sparring contest with her, to include blocking, kicking, punching, and vaulting over a see saw...no way would he reveal his powers so openly. I could go on, but suffice it to say, they blew it here.

I thought this movie was terrible. Poorly acted, poorly cast, plot... Was there a plot? I honestly don't remember one. Ack I couldn't wait for this one to end.
