This was a really fun movie. The characters were well executed, the story had several good threads. It wasn't your basic feel-good movie, it wasn't pure fantasy. There was enough depth to the characters to make you care about them, but it never got so heavy that it dragged the movie down.

It'll be fine on the small screen, but it's a movie about being “bigger than life” ... so go catch it in the theatre if you can.

this movie was horrible. utterly terrible. it dragged on for hours n hours. it also took quiet a long time for it to actually start, and when it finally did, u were lost. half the time it was fantasy land n the other half it was with the main charachter and his dying father. the main guy has never been close to his father and when his father becomes very sick, he n his wife come to visit. he claims he doesn't know anything about his dad cuz he never told him true stories, they were all made up fantasies. he goes back in time and tries to recreate or relive his father's stories. those parts were so much more interesting than the real story. but they were a bit far-fetched.... the movie takes forever to get to the point. i watched it on the big screen n almost walked out. in the end the guy discovers that his father didn't make up his weird fantasy stories and that it really doesn't matter as long as his father was happy n bla ba bla...... bad BAD movie.
