Ethan the Skipper
We took Ethan out on the canoe for the second time today. The first time was a month or so ago and he was not all that impressed. He clung to his mother and was ready to get back on solid ground as soon as possible.
Today you would have thought he was either Lewis or Clark. He was leaning over the side to get his fingers wet (with his mother firmly grasping onto his life-jacket) and standing in the canoe by himself (with his mother firmly grasping onto his life-jacket.. are you noticing a trend here?) and even... paddled!
He's quite the excellent paddler, and even carried one of the paddles back up (on his shoulder) to the house. Very cute!

Great Grampa Royer will be so impressed!! I'm not sure if he still has his boat, but we used to go out on it all the time when I was little.
