Harry Potter / Chamber of Secrets

January 4, 2003

Scale: 8/10 Should you see it? YES How’s the writing? GOOD Any gaping holes in the plot? NO What stands out? A sequel that is every bit as good as the original See it in the theater or wait to rent? WORTH THE THEATER

I have to admit that I’m one of the 12 people on the planet who hasn’t read the Harry Potter books, but then again I haven’t read the Lord of the Rings either.

So, that said, I have to say that I really enjoyed Harry Potter 2… there was enough mystery and suspense to keep it going, enough action to keep it enjoyable, and enough magic to make it a fun time.

In fact I happened to see it twice, and enjoyed it both times. The casting of Kenneth Branagh was clearly brilliant (confirmed by my wife, who has read the books, and thought he was the perfect choice). He takes a step back and pokes a little fun at himself with this role.

Those who have and those who haven’t read the book will enjoy this movie, and those who wondered if the sequel would be as good as the original need not worry, it is an excellent followup.

i thought the second film was much better than the first. the people in it are so much older now and they are more experienced in acting so this film was alot more sucessful. i cant wait to see the 3rd film it should be even better than the 2nd as the actors will be alot more older then!!!

i thought the movie was excellent what i have read came alive again in the movie and all characters are how u had imagined them. the only way u can bag the movie is wishing it was longer. it adds imaginatiopn and fun into what little excitment and violence there is in this boring world .it took the harry potter collection to get me and my friends to read again . there should be more movies with this kind of impact and enjoyment for all ages out .

Hey, i enjoyed the 2nd movie! but i am really excited about the 3rd movie, cuz Draco Malfoy/Tom Felton doesn’t have his hair slicked back anymore!! YAY! But my mom said that the 2nd wasn’t going to be the best as was the 1st movie because she said that you didn’t know what to expect in the 1st but you knew what to expect in the 2nd, but i love all the movies, i can’t wait no longer for the 3rd movie! Every single time i get on the net, i look up pictures of the upcoming movie, cuz i just can’t wait no longer!! lol, if you have any questions email me anytime!! bye! ~Kelsey~
