I replaced my Seagate 160GB drive (which started making a horrible clicking noise on Monday) with the original 60GB drive which came with my MacBook.
It hadn’t been used since last August.
It’s interesting to see what happens over the course of a year.
I replaced LaunchBar with QuickSilver, for one thing.
When I fired up VersionTracker Pro to see what needed updating, it found 117 apps which needed to be updated. This was after I ran Apple’s Software Update to bring everything up to date there (well, except iTunes).
Does VersionTracker have a “Download All Updates” option? I’m off to check now.
UPDATE: Yup. File > Download Watch List Updates. Oooh boy, I hope no one else was planning to use the Innernets today, because I’m going to have it tied up for quite awhile.
UPDATE 2: Tell me again how “different” the Mac developers are at Microsoft? I had to apply 11.3.5 and then 11.36 and then 11.3.7 and then 11.3.7 and then, oh yeah, 11.3.8. Hello Combo Updater anyone? The only other app on my Mac which is this poorly behaved is Adobe Acrobat (reader and “standard”).
