MacWorld recently reviewed Opera (see my ) and complained that Opera did not use
+ T for a new tab.
The recently released preview of Opera9 (codename Merlin) includes a new set of keyboard shortcuts, including
+ T for new tab.
(NOTE: Windows users, use ctrl where I refer to the Mac Command key.)
For those who have used Opera for awhile, this will take some adjustment. This one change had a ripple effect:
+ T used to be “Bookmark This Page” which is now
+ D.
+ D used to be “Paste and Go” which is now
+ shift + V (similar to “Paste” which is, of course,
+ V.
(Unfortunately there is a bug where “Paste and Go” now opens a background page/tab rather than reusing the current page/tab. That is a known-bug.)
