It was in approx. 1973. <p> I watched as my mom brought it out of the oven. I couldn't wait to try it. I had to wait til it cooled. I salivated, and couldn't wait til supper was over. </p> <br /> The light pink glaze over the fruit made me salivate. I had visions of a sweet tender fruit, like pink lemonade with lots of sugar. My mom was grateful enough to let me stop after a bite or two, as the bitter and tart flavor puckered my face like a lemon squeezed on my tongue.</p> I remember the first and only time I tried Rhubarb Pie.
