Thanks for the sharing info site. I've been using RDC for a while now. The only thing on the PC is basically ACT and few other barebones things. It still runs like a PC (Piece of Crap) You would think that the popularity of OS X that ACT would come out with a MAC version. You know, the ACT for the web should be far from ACT OS X. Its based on unix. What about Goldmine? Do they make that for MAC?

This is all very valuable to me, thanks, having just done a google for "ACT for mac users". I've been a mac user for about a year, having bought an iMac originally for home use, but having recently begun to use it for business having set up my own company. Previously I have always used PCs for work ... for as long as PCs have been around!
On my mac I'm now using Entourage for emails/addressbook/calendar/tasks, etc. This synchronises brilliantly with my pocketpc using 3rd party software pocketmac. All of this is perfect and I can recommend it.
Unfortunately Entourage does not provide what I need for a customer&prospects database. I'm almost admitting defeat and thinking about customising an Excel spreadsheet for my database needs, because I can't find anything suitable for the Mac. (Word/Excel/PPoint are part of the Entourage package.) But just to be clear, I would never go back to PC.
Any insight/recommendations for a mac friendly customer&prospects dbase (ideally one which is compatible with Entourage/Word) would be hugely appreciated.
(Note - my website address is given as requested, but not gone live yet).
Cheers. Donna.

Wow ! I'm not alone. I can't stand PC's. I am a huge Mac fan. I have been using ACT for years and years. My solution has been to keep ACT 2.8 on my G3 even though everything else I do is on OSX.

I've also looked at Day Lite and Now Up to Date but didn't get excited enough to change. Sometimes I'm with you. I wish never discovered ACT.

I run another program on Virtual PC and I don't want to add another. It's very slow.

What about Filemaker ? I don't know much about it, but is that customizable?

Entourage is the Mac equivalent of Outlook, and it's quite a good app. I used it for awhile. About the only thing I remember really missing was a unified INBOX that would show all the messages in the various INBOXes of my accounts,

I never used Outlook in Windows very much.

I would absolutely switch to Mac again if I had it to do over again. OS X makes me feel empowered, that the more I learn about it, the more I can do.

XP made me feel like I had to learn more and more just to keep keep it running.

Is Microsoft Outlook even an option? I am considering switching to a Mac from Windows, but do not know how I am going to replace ACT. What do you think about Outlook? Also, would you still make the change if you had to do it again?

I have tried using palm software but really miss ACT!

there has got to be a solution.
