&lt;p&gt;And there is no point fretting about something that won&#039;t be around for at least 5 years.  If you don&#039;t like the non-backwards-compatibility of XHTML 2, there&#039;s no-one telling you to upgrade your site for it.  But I hope the new version will be a fresh start for the bad browser implementations.&lt;/p&gt;
